Yankees Back on Top

It's been a long road, but the Yankees are finally back on top of the AL East.

While they share 1st place with the Red Sox (who the Royals beat last night to force this tie) this triumph is a testament to how gritty the Yankees have been, considering they have yet to beat the Red Sox this season. (They are currently down 0-8 in their season series).

There's a lot of baseball to be played, and this race will go down to the wire. But right now, my money is on the Bombers. Love 'em or hate 'em, it's hard to deny that the Yankees have a certain magic about them this year. Eventually they have to beat the Red Sox, and if we keep up this level of play, it's in the bag.

Now go out and beat the Angels this weekend and prove me right!
